Vera Chute

Synonymous with her family-owned recycled clothing franchise, Vera’s “Value City” has become a household name amongst not only Fijians but across the Pacific in Tonga, and Kiribati as well. Vera has long advocated the merits of upcycling through her business venture.


This award-winning businesswoman and executive is engaged in philanthropy and mentoring and assisting women in MSMEs and the informal sector to give them financial independence. Adam Wade

Born in Australia and bred in Fiji, Adam Wade is a marina general manager with an inherent love of family, travelling, surfing, paddling, sailing and adventuring. “Adam’s adventures”, described by his near and dear ones as weird and wonderful which is an unusual mix.

Maca Tabuya

A pastor, mompreneur, wife, blogger/influencer, Maca provides hope and inspiration by sharing her life journey. Being a survivor of child abuse, she hopes to create a safe space for fellow sufferers and breaking the culture of silence. 


Maca wants to encourage the wider Fijian community to tap on their dormant talents and potential to make life worth living. Maca credits her husband and son as her biggest cheerleaders and enjoys travelling and socialising. How did Maca rejuvenate herself after the ordeal? Hear about her journey at the event.

Akshay Singh

An ivy-league educated professional dedicating his career to tourism in the Pacific Islands. Passionate about the South Pacific with an array of cultural and lush diversity, Akshay is keen to advocate for renewable energy. 


Through this platform, Akshay hopes to create a conversation with the tourism operators in the region to be more socially and environmentally conscious, and to create a better and more greener pathway for sustainable tourism in the future. Moira Solvalu

A classic dream-weaver, this award-winning creative turned her pain into purpose by redesigning her fragmented life. After two decades in the shipping industry, Moira followed her dreams into the world of fashion and at the helm of a successful production house, has received several acalodes. 


Having lent her talents and expertise to entrepreneurial efforts for women and youth, including recommendations on indigenous entrepreneurship in the Pacific, Moira is an inspiration to many. When Covid19 hit Fiji, Moira diversified to sustainable products such as reusable face masks, reusable diapers and reusable menstrual pads and earned gold certification from DfG’s International (Days For Girls) and acting as an agent of change. Led by the motto “Imagine, believe and create”, her fashion house is now expanding to interior and home décor designs.

Gary Pickering

A proud Fijian who was born in Labasa and raised in Kiwiland. Spanning a long career in the aviation business, Gary found his true calling to return back to motherland to rediscover his heritage. 


Being the inaugural creator of the first natural peanut butter in Fiji, Gary is on a personal journey of growth and change by stepping out of his comfort zone into a world of opportunities. Rajneesh Charan

As a leadership and project management trainer, Rajneesh has mentored women in business and is passionate about developing start-ups, travel, and innovation, and advocating the merits of healthy living. Touted as a trailblazer for Fijian women in information and communications technology (ICT), Rajneesh transformed the Fiji Sugar Corporations’ information systems for over 15 years. 


Being an entrepreneur and globally accredited trainer, Rajneesh is an active philanthropist and an ambassador for the global social enterprise, Island Innovation. Among her numerous board roles, Rajneesh is currently co-chair and trustee of the Golden Age Home Board of Visitors in Lautoka.
